The governor of Anambra State, Dr. Willie Obiano has expressed his displeasure at the conduct of the presidential elections in his State.
In an interview this evening with Channels TV, governor Obiano said that the usage of the controversial Card Reader Machine by INEC was a setback in the conduct of the elections.
According to Obiano, many voters in the state were disenfranchised due to the Card Reader Machine malfunction. " I went to vote in my polling unit. The INEC officers tested all my ten fingers the machine didn't accept. I didn't grow new fingers overnight!
"I immediately called Professor Attahiru Jega and complained to him that no Card Reader Machine is working in the state."
Obiano said he resorted to speaking with President Goodluck Jonathan to register his grievances.
"They did not give me any incidence form. I left but when I returned to the polling unit, people had started voting.
Manual accreditation was approved by INEC and I later voted.
I experienced the same thing in my area.
What will you say about the card reader machine?
