Gang Leader Arrested In Enugu State - Must Read

Police have  been in search of  a notorious robbery gang that has been terrorizing Enugu State and other part of the South East Zone in Nigeria.



Recently police in the State has arrested one of the most wanted armed robber in Nigeria.  His name is Afam Omoba alias Obosi, who after he was allegedly shot by a member of his own gang whose missed his target during an operation in Eziobodo, at Amechi Idobo's house near the State capital.

 According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) , DSP Ebere Amaraizu,  Afam who has evaded the police for several years, was caught by police operatives in the area when the gang attempted to rob a victim in his house


As they ordered the victim to bring out all the money in his house, as the victim, Mr Amaechi was trying to resist the hoodlums, one of the gang member who tried to shoot the victim, missed his target and shot Omoba on the leg.


The sound of the gunshot attracted the attention of people in the neighbourhood who alerted the police and the gang members flee. They took Obosi along with them but due to he was  badly injured they left him to run by himself as patrol team gave then a hot chase.

 The PPRO said that policemen combed the bush towards the direction the hoodlums ran to and eventually arrested Obosi.
