The Nigerian Football Federation has described false news that the country's national teams will now be dressed by US- based sportswaer company NIKE.
Many news sites on Friday morning claimed that the NFF had agreed with NIKE to supply the kits and training equipment for th Super Eagles, Super Falcon, the Dream Team, the Flying Eagles, Falconets, the Golden Eaglets and the Flamingoes.
But NFF spokesman, Ademola Olajire told Goal that the claims were untrue and the country's football house did not go into any kind of agreement with the sportswaer company.
" That is not true and I'm not aware of that. If the story was real, it would have first been published on the Nigerian Fooball Federation website," Olajire said.
Provisions provider Adidas had written to the Nigeria Football Federation last August notifying them of their decision not to renew their contract.
The German outfit had signed a new contract with the NFF on March 6, 2010 and did not state specific reason for ppulling out.
