Photos: Major Sand Storm Blots Out Dubai Sky

According to BBC, a major sand storm has hit United Arab Emirates, blotting out Dubai's famous skyline. High winds have whipped desert sands, severely reducing visibility and causing residents to suffer breathing dificulties.

 The storm has led to fight diversions from Dubai's International Airport, leaving many passengers stranded.
 Abu Dhabi police say the storm has caused a serious traffic accidents and  forecasters predict it could last for days. See more photos after the cut...
