On Wednesday June 3rd, 78 people lost their lives in Accra after they ran to a gas station to take shelterd during heavy downpour that went
down with an explosion from Goil gas station. Those who were at the gas station were burnt including buidings. The flood started as a result of heavy downpour submerging buildings and vehicles thereby making people to seek for refuge at the gas station.
According to Ghana fire Service spokesperson, Billy Anagate, the fire started by 5:00pm at Neoplan Bus Station and then spread to the gas station killing people taking refuge at the station. Warning! Graphic photos below:
