President Muhammadu Buhari To Scrap 12 Federal Ministries

According to Guardian reports, President Buhari says he may not be able to deliever his promise to Nigerians without adjusting the weight of
Federal Bureaucracy and the number of ministries and agencies of government that consume more than 70 percent of the federal budget.

 In the new arrangement, some ministries will be merged  as follows:

* Ministry of Interior ( to include Police Affairs)

* Ministry of Transportation  ( to include Works, Railways, Aviation Waterways / Transport)

* Agriculture and Water Resources

 * Ministry of Information, Youth, Develppment and Culture.

 * Ministry of  Trade, Investment and Tourism.

The Niger Delta Ministry maybe scrapped and replaced with the Ministry of Regional Development. The Women Affairs  and Special Duties  may also be scrapped.
