Due to some electoral irregularities and allegations of vote rigging on April 11th, a supplementary election was re-scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) last Saturday.
INEC declared Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the winner. Mr. Okezie defeated his oppenent Alex Otti of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Mr. Okezie had 264,713 votes while the APGA candidate had 180,882 votes.
